After successfully completing her apprenticeship and dedicating nearly two decades to mastering her craft, Barbie returned to her hometown of DeKalb, Illinois. With her, she brought a wealth of knowledge and an extensive skill set acquired throughout her career, and she channeled this expertise into the establishment of Mindful Tattoo Collective. Barbie is committed to delivering the highest quality tattoo artistry while ensuring clients enjoy a seamless and delightful experience.

Maxine embarked on her journey in the world of tattooing in West Chicago, Illinois. Following the completion of her apprenticeship, she relocated to DeKalb to further her education at Northern Illinois University, where she majored in painting and illustration. Drawing from her formal art education, she skillfully incorporates her knowledge into the vibrant colors and intricate designs of her tattoos.

With years of unwavering dedication to both fine arts and the art of tattooing, Maxine has committed herself to sharing her expertise with the Mindful Tattoo Collective.
